Blue Chip sponsored rider Lucy Pincus is one step closer to representing Great Britain after she was named in the shortlist for the 2016 European Young Rider Championships due to making it into the British Dressage Young Riders top six, which will be reduced to a final four after the European showpiece event in Spain to be held at the end of July.

Nineteen year-old Lucy and her horse Sheepcote Doncalisto attained two fantastic results at the recent Roosendaal CDI event held in Holland at the end of May. She scored 66.798% in the team event and 68.596% in her individual test, which allowed her to qualify for the music class where she finished in 12th place, which is a brilliant result to say that this was Lucy’s first time representing Great Britain in an international event outside the UK

Upon her return to the UK, Lucy took Doncalisto out to qualify for the Inter 1 Regionals where they were clearly on a winning streak and won with an amazing 73%. She also took her other mount, Sheepcote Suncrest out to qualify for the Advanced Medium regionals, where he attained two scores of 73% and 75%, which were brilliant results to say that it was his first attempt at Advanced Medium!

We wish Lucy the best of luck in the rest of her competitions this month and we look forward to being able to report on her success over the coming season
