Blue Chip Feed | Horse Supplements & Horse Feed Balancers

Nicola Jones recently did a photoshoot with her horse Billy featuring both of them in Blue Chip merchandise. Nicola is one of Blue Chip Feed’s sponsored event riders. In 2010, Nicola was shortlisted for the the EuropeanCCI** team with her horse Taboo.

Billy has been out to a couple of dressage events in preparation for his first event, and came 2nd and 6th in 2 prelims on Saturday, which Nicola is really pleased with.  Nicola and Billy’s first event will be an Intro at Aston Le Walls, so if you’ll be there be sure to give Nicola a cheer.

I’ve had some very good news, Temperament and I have received the exciting news that we have made the short list for the GB European CCI** Squad!! Lots more hard work over the winter but all hopefully worth it!

Also my NJ Eventing business has really began to take off with lots of extra rides plus lessons that I am teaching!

Attached are a few wedding pics, I’m now officially Mrs Shephard, all very grown up!! We got married on the 4th September at Bredon Church Tewkesbury followed by a fabulous reception at my parents house!

Just another quick email, Temperament came 19th in the CIC** at Barbury International Event, he was a complete star a perfect double clear, I think the top 15 were professional riders!!! Off to Hartpury next for the CIC** in August.

As part of my continued training with the European CCI** team I have been invited to do a dressage and jumping display at Blenheim Horse trials, should be fun!

Nicola and Temperament

Hope you are well, thought I’d send you this picture, this is taboo and I at Salperton Horse Trials, the picture was taken by a friend of mine Nicki Davies and she’s more than happy if you want to incorporate it on to your site, it’s a fab photo!

Nicola also informed us of some more good news;

“British Dressage phoned up and asked me to guinea pig for them at their dressage to music convention in March!  They got my contact details through my trainer who recommended me, so that’s very good news.  I have had confirmation of my training day for the European 2* Squad, 6th April, and my first event is March 20th, so its all go!  I have just gone part time at work with the ambulance service, and set up my own business NJ Eventing, freelance event rider.”

Nicola Jones is a 27 year old and Paramedic with Great Western Ambulance Service. She have been riding since she was 4 years old and was introduced to competing whilst touring the local shows and winning the lead rein classes with a very competitive father and adored pony Lucy Locket. Thankfully since then she has progressed through pony club, riding club and ended up in love with the world of Eventing.

Taboo (Temperament) is a 9 year old Dutch warmblood, sired by Nimmerdor. She has had Taboo since he was 4 years old, and he certainly has his quirks. He lives out, as he jumps out of the stable. Many a time Nicola has been called back to the temporary stables to calm the mad dapple grey who has grown 2 foot and wants to get out. MORE INFO…
