After Corby’s 1st & 2nd at Nurstead and Rackham unfortunately we were eliminated in the showjumping at Eridge – I missed out a jump!

Tango (our home produced stallion) sire of Lady’s foal Tandy, had his first BE event at Eridge.  He had a great dressage (26.5) the best in his section, but in the showjumping he had 3 down, he was jumping a bit flat unfortunately and seems to respect the bigger fences better!

I had another good weekend last weekend (apart from the lorry having broken down and hitching lifts in various trailers!) Tango was 1st, Ollie 3rd and Lady 5th at Horsham & District Riding Club’s ODE at Pulborough.

I may also have a couple of new rides for owners, one at BE90 and the other BYEH 4YO – I’ll keep you posted.

We’ve had a mixed season this year and more challenges. Holly and I moved up to Advanced, we’ve had a few teething problems in the XC. It was a real shame at Belton that I jumped the wrong jump as we would have only had the 20 penalties for the first refusal and some time penalties, she went so well I think we would have been placed in the AU25. As you know I had a lesson with Sarah Hunt a few months ago and she gave me some great tips.

The snow has been challenging – as much as I like it it’s a little inconvenient when you have horses! I hope it doesn’t come back too soon as it does limited the riding I can do – oh to have an indoor school!

I went to the South East Eventers Ball a couple of weeks ago where we picked up 2nd in the Leading Mare and 6th in the Leading Owner Rider.

We had a good weekend at Eridge.  7th with Corby in BE100 with a double clear and 6th with Holly in the OI with another double clear.
