The last show of the season was the AQHA-UK Championship Show at Horse Creek Farm in Cambridgeshire.
It was a full AQHA Show with AQHA-UK Championship classes for which qualification was required throughout the season.

Blue Chip are pleased to announce that they will be continuing their sponsorship for Antony Iren.

Chris had an awesome weekend at the Western Equestrian Society National Show at Moreton Morrell, Warwickshire over the weekend. He and Coal were Open Champions for the third year running and Overall Champions for the fourth consecutive year. They also did a demonstration (very improvised) of freestyle reining without a bridle.
Chris was at the Fenland Quarter Horse Circuit last weekend with Cole (Hesa Classy Shadow), Frostie (Cody Chic Olena Whiz) – new arrival – and Crystal ( Cruisins in Fashion ). He was Open Champion in both shows on Cole – winning a crystal decanter. MORE INFO…
We have started riding Colby again now, and he is improving but I think it will take along time until he is back to normal.
With Gin, I made all the finals to the Futurity, and I was the youngest person ever tomake it straight through, in the Level 1 and 2 finals.
We had a late lead change but finished in the top 10 out of 40 horses.
In the Level 3 and 4 we had a trot out from the second stop which cost me 3rd place, but we also ended up in the top 10 out of the 150+ horses that entered, so I was really happy.
I head out again on the 21st for the next show.
Blue Chip’s sponsored Western rider, Chris Dalton, has won the ‘All Round Youth & Reserve Open All Ages’ award at the AQHA UK end of year awards.

In becoming reserve in Senior, Chris also picked up reserve titles in Western Trail and Werstern Riding. In the Youth category he was Champion in Western Trail and Showmanship and reserve in Hunter Under Saddle and Western Horsemanship. Chris missed quite a few AQHA shows this year due to showing in the USA and Germany and therefore, potentially dropped a lot of points.

February 2011 Update
“Gin who is in Germany is doing great, I fly out again on the 21st, until the end of the futurity at the beginning of April. November 2010 Update

Colby is looking good and starting to get fit again, and he feels awesome! Can’t wait to show him again next year. He ‘s looking really good with the Blue Chip, his shape is really nice and his coat is shiny. I’m trying to get some pictures to you, but it’s always raining or bad weather so really sorry for that!

This weekend I’m going to Germany to look at a 3yr old stallion to show at the “futurities” next year which are huge!

I’m really sorry. I forgot to update you on the WES Championships. The Blue Chip Sponsorship went down really well with several competitors asking me for advice on what to spend their vouchers on. Your sponsored rider did you proud again. Chris won the open division for the second year running on Hesa Classy Shadow and the Championship Division for the third year running. (He didn’t contest the youth division this year). Consequently, I’m afraid he won a few of your caps!!

Another successful week for our sponsored rider, Chris Dalton. He has just returned from the Garden of England International Show at Bodiam, Sussex. This was a five day event incorporating 4 shows. Chris took Coal (Hesa Classy Shadow) and repeated last years result by winning the youth and open all rounds in all four shows. They were not placed lower than 2nd all week and also took Grand Champion Gelding for shows 1 & 2. MORE INFO…
Chris was at the Fenland Quarter Horse Show last weekend where he won the Open All Round for the first show on Cole (Hesa Classy Shadow). Unfortunately we couldn’t stay for Show 2 as we had to go to our WES Area show in Richmond, Yorkshire. Chris won all his classes here, apart for the ones he had two horses in , when he was first and second.

We have ‘aquired’ a couple of new horses. We have a ‘green’ Paint horse called Straits Doc Dee Bar and a palamino Quarter Horse called Sentimental Shine. Both have been sent to us by the head of the UK Paint Horse Association for Chris to compete for the season. They are both reining horses. Photos attached. Dee (the Paint) has a lot to learn yet but we are very excited about Cally – the palamino. It will be a bit quiet for a while , we are off to Oklahoma City in just over two weeks for the AQHA Youth World Cup.
