Stormhill Mink Heading for HOYS champ
At 17 years old, Stormhill Mink really has nothing left to prove and fed Blue Chip Dynamic, the prolific champion has had his busiest and most successful stud season ever, standing with Jerome Harforth at Stanley Grange Stud in Middlesborough, Cleveland.

Already the sire of many show champions, the 16hh Stormhill Mink was bred by the Stormhill Stud in Oxon, moved to Cheshire as a 2-year-old and then when he was eight, to a riding school in Yorkshire where he led hacks, enjoyed cross country and hunting.

Current owner Rebecca Walker bought him over seven years ago and she graded Stormhill Mink with the British Skewbald and Piebald Association (BSPA) and with the Coloured Horse & Pony Society (CHAPS). He is now an Elite stallion with the BSPA. …Click here to read more…

As one of the most enthusiastic sponsors of grass roots competitions in almost every discipline, Blue Chip has announced that due to ongoing uncertainty and confusion surrounding the Festival of Champions, it has withdrawn its title sponsorship support and is no longer involved with what has previously been a highlight in the company’s extensive sponsorship portfolio.

“This was a really difficult decision”, admits Managing Director Jem Clay. “We have repeatedly asked for clarification about the future of this competition and which shows, if any, are going ahead this year, but we have been unable to get a satisfactory answer. Therefore we have reluctantly decided to end our current association with the Festival of Champions whilst this uncertainty remains. We remain open to reconsidering our involvement should the current situation be resolved, as these Championships gave the true amateur a chance to shine and we really hope that they will continue.”
