We have not as yet had an opportunity to try the Blue Chip instant calmers as we have not needed to.

Just recently we have been feeding our pony Henry on Blue Chip Original and we are absolutely delighted with the almost immediate, positive effects.

Henry’s coat is looking superb, and his temperament is so different; he seems to be happier, more confident and settled in himself, and certainly easier to train!

We are continuing with the Karma, especially before going out on a drive and wouldn’t be without it. We have decided to continue with these two excellent products in the future.

I started using Blue Chip Original in May this year and my horse looks fantastic.

I used to use another feed balancer but decided to change to Blue Chip as it came recommended from two top show producers I met.

I always get people telling me how fantastic my horse looks and how shiny her coat is.

The positive reports on Blue Chip sold it to me, and the small amount you feed too. I also feed her Dodson & Horrell Fibre Performance to give her a bit more energy for competitions, and Blue Chip Karma to calm her.

My foal, Malachy, is fed Blue Chip Original and I wanted to share how he’s been getting on since using it.

He has settled down a lot in the last two months, I have had help with him and he can now be caught and handled although sometimes I have to chase him round his Mum a couple of times first.

I am starting to pick his feet out and lead him around. He has had his 1st two flu & tetanus jabs and has been microchipped and he was very good on both occasions.

He is still a nervous boy, which might be just the way he is but I am working with him daily between poo picking the field, filling up the water trough and rushing to work.

The main difference is how much he has grown, he now stands at 13hh and weights 513lbs. I have also noticed that his bone density has increased, and comparing the difference between him and his half siblings in the farm next door, he has more bone and better growth size for size than they do.

Unfortunately his mum has had a positive diagnosis of Cushings in October, she’s only 7 years old. I have had my suspicions for a couple of years, but thought she was too young, this is another reason why I did not want to breed from her (although she had other ideas!)

She has been on Lami-light for a while now as I noticed she was hanging onto her coat in Spring and since October has a daily Pergolide tablet and is doing well. The farrier commented on how tough her feet were and mentioned she would not need shoes, so I am really pleased as last year they were full of grass cracks and could not keep a set of shoes on, she also had an abscess.

I think the loyalty scheme on the new bags is a great idea, I am definitely going to use that.

I would just like to say how amazing both Blue Chip Original and Karma are.

They have transformed my 4-year-old ex-racer mare, Rosa, into a calmer and all round healthier horse.

I bought Rosa straight from her trainer last August as she was not up to the job. She had her last race in June so was relatively “race horse fit” still.

When I got Rosa home she was quite buzzy and unsettled (as you can imagine). She was given a few months off to relax and I began seeking a diet that would help her maintain optimum condition without the “buzz”.

I began to ride Rosa after a few months and generally she was well behaved but very easily unsettled by any changes (riding in a different arena, objects in different places etc.)

She was typically very sensitive to any of my aids and had a tendancy to over react. At this point she was also not taking to her diet and her condition was both difficult and expensive to maintain. I began to research different feeds and supplements to see what was available.

A friend of ours feeds her dressage horse Original and he is in imaculate, optimum condition. He has the ideal weight, his coat is super glossy and his skin healthy.

Our friend highly recommended Original as a feed balancer. After months of failing with other balancers and seeing her horse in such fantastic condition we thought we would give it a try.

After a few weeks Rosa’s condition was improving ten fold. Her coat was incredibly shiny, she was holding her weight and really tucked into her dinners. Since then we have never looked back and Rosa remains in optimum condition. We are also saving so much more money as a bag of Original lasts us around 5-6 weeks, whereas before we were going through other feeds at double the rate and price!

Despite Original massively helping she was still quite sharp and flustered when under saddle so we looked into calmers, although already sceptical. As we were already so pleased with the results of Original we looked into the Karma. Another friend of ours mentioned she had used it on her tb x connemara and highly recommended it. So we took the plunge and gave it a go.

After only one week I saw huge changes to Rosa both under saddle and in herself. She became so relaxed and wasn’t as sharp or temperamental. I can’t tell you how much the Karma has helped in our re-training of Rosa. She is so much easier to work with and is a much happier horse overall.

The spooking has been reduced dramatically, although she does still have the odd spook. I can wrap my legs around her and use my seat and leg aids without a dramatic over reaction. I can ride her in different surroundings without the nervous tension and really start to enjoy riding her.

I have never found calmers as effective as Karma and without it I would be lost! Blue Chip Karma and Original have given me a new horse.

I own a 15.2 chestnut mare who was practically un-rideable and we really struggled with her weight (especially in the winter months when her condition dropped rapidly).

I tried several build up mixes but they just simply fizzed her up. After some research I thought that a Blue Chip feed balancer might be able to improve her condition.

We started using Blue Chip Original last summer and I couldn’t believe how well she was all winter. Taking into consideration the horrible snow and the fact I was working full time, she remained in good shape, was healthy and very calm. I found other feeds were just not necessary.

After only a few weeks of using Original I saw a dramatic change; she maintained weight, had a glossy coat, and concentrated a lot more on her work. She improved at competitions, winning various dressage classes, and winning British Novices and Discovery classes.

I currently give her a calmer but after all our success with Original I plan to swap her onto Blue Chip Karma, as a friend of mine has said it completely transformed her horse and highly recommends it.

I would never stop feeding her Blue Chip Original as she is now a changed horse; I now enjoy riding again, and I’m proud of how well she looks.

With hard work and Blue Chip products to back me up, we can continue to improve. You can see in the photo above how great she looks, normally when she is clipped she looks like a bag of bones.

Once again thank you for changing my horse and my riding hobby for all the right reasons. Blue Chip Original is an amazing product!

When my ex-dressage and show horse entered his twenties, he lost weight and seemed to feel a bit colicky at times.

His stomach often gurgled excessively after evening feeds and he looked uncomfortable and would sometimes break out in a light sweat.

While these bouts passed without serious incident, it was worrying as I feared they would get worse as he aged.

I discovered a Blue Chip leaflet in a magazine and, after reading how good it is for improving digestion, decided to try my horse on Blue Chip Original.

Within weeks, he began to improve, he put on weight and his digestive problems disappeared.

He is now 25 but is still admired by others for his youthful enthusiasm for life!
