Jonti is my little Shetland Pony and is 19 years of age.
A friend gave her to me when she was 10-years-old to keep my mare company. She was found at a horse sale and was in a totally neglected state.
My foal, Malachy, is fed Blue Chip Original and I wanted to share how he’s been getting on since using it.
He has settled down a lot in the last two months, I have had help with him and he can now be caught and handled although sometimes I have to chase him round his Mum a couple of times first.

I bought a standard Shetland, called Rosie, who had a foal on her but was in fair condition. After weaning the foal she looked poor and had difficulty shedding her winter coat.
I decided to put Rosie on Lami-light, so that she had a feed when the others did.
My Shetland pony, Barley, is over 18-years-old and had very bad laminitis.
I then discovered Blue Chip Lami-light and after just one month, he was so much healthier.
I can now take my younger siblings out on the road with him, he even runs into his field now!
Thank you Lami-light, you made him a happier pony.
Kind regards,
Ami
I have been using Blue Chip’s Lami-light, Karma and AppleCalm.
I am not sure if it was adding Lami-light to her diet or something in her previous low calorie-balancer that didn’t agree with her, but the difference in her after a few days is amazing. I also bought a bottle of Karma to feed to her daily.
Designed especially for laminitic or overweight horses and ponies, Lami-Light is low in calories and includes magnesium which aids insulin activity. This gives you peace of mind that your horse is getting all his daily vitamins and minerals without putting on weight. It’s the Slimfast of the horse world! If you suspect your horse has laminitis then you must call the vet immediately. Taking the right action is important to ensure your horse or pony has the best possible chance of a full recovery. “I purchased Alfie just a few months ago, he is just under 5 years. Since using Blue Chip Original he has started to get more top line and generally fill out. I’m surprised how well its worked in such a short time on him, his coat shines and he is a picture of health! I also use Blue Chip Pro on my 35 year old pony who doesn’t lose condition on it coming into winter and Blue Chip Lami-Light on my Welsh Section A who suffers from Laminitis. I have a different type for each pony but it lasts for ages. I certainly wouldn’t use anything else!”

“My pony was very overweight, even though he was in full work. I had worked with him for over a year prior to buying him and I knew that he put weight on from looking at a blade of grass and easily went off his head with too much sugar. He was prone to becoming a stallion in certain situations as he was gelded late, and was at risk of laminitis. I wanted something that I could feed him without having to worry about the fizz and his stallion-y temperament. I had tried a fibre and pellet blend product, but feeding him the specified amount made him put on weight, but I knew that if he wasn’t on that amount he wasn’t getting the correct level of nutrients out of it that he needed. I was adding 3 supplements at one point just to get the essentials into him and it got to a certain point where I no longer saw the point, so researched into other means of feeding him. MORE INFO…
“Thanks so much for your advice. Here are pictures of my 17yr old gelding Sammy (Pembridge Gazelle). This first photo was taken at the beginning of the summer; I had only clipped him once during the winter as his coat had hardly grown even though he was not very wrapped-up and out all day. As you can see here his coat still does not look good. People seriously thought I had a new horse by the end of the summer! I had been told by a farrier and vet that Sammy was unlikely to be ridden again after endless hoof troubles, lameness and borderline laminitis. With the advice of an excellent farrier and Blue Chip Lami-light he has been transformed! I can not get over how different he looks on Lami-light, I wonder if it is due to reduced pain in his feet ensuring he is able to use himself properly. He is also much happier in his work and less difficult to deal with. He looks and feels fab!
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!”

In October my 11 year old Connemara, mare was diagnosed with Laminitis, she could hardly stand when the vet was called and was in dreadful pain, we prepared ourselves for the worst that she would not make it through the night, the vets were great they quickly gave her pain relief and padded her front feet, she was stabled for around two months and was not allowed to step out of her stable. We heard about Blue Chip products and reading some good reports we decided to try the Lami-Light. She was on the road to recovery by the start of the year and was responding very well to treatment, she was brought back into work in March and attended her first Dressage event in April, of which we and the vets were amazed she had come on so fast.
