Clare with Liquorice & Glen, better known as, 'Blue Chip That's Grand' and 'I'm Blue Chip Too'.Hello and welcome to my page - this is where I let you know from my perspective what's happening in the world of Blue Chip, about my horses and anything else I find interesting in the equestrian world. Please check back from time to time to see how the Blue Chip horses are doing.

Having had horses all my life and previously, working for another feed company. My customers, many of whom had become my friends, suggested that I start my own company. I knew there had to be a better way of feeding horses and ponies and contacted The Kentucky Equine Research Station in the USA and told them of my ideas. With the help and encouragement of leading scientists, vets and horse owners, I formulated Blue Chip Original and the rest, as they say, is history.

I never imagined that in such a short time, my company would become such a well respected household name helping literally thousands of horses and ponies to have happy, healthy, longer and active lives. A brand that is fed to the worlds' leading equine superstars and one that has won so many awards, not only for our great products and services, but for the ones I am most proud of, for corporate social responsibility, or in other words, sponsoring and supporting riders, competitions and numerous equine charities. I firmly believe that the more prosperous Blue Chip becomes the more we should help others to succeed.

My company was named after my wonderful show horse Blue Chip who i bought as a poor, unhealthy three year old, and turned into a superstar who was a finalist at the R.I.H.S. and HOYS many times and was National Best Trained Show horse six times. He passed away a few years ago and I buried him at home. I owe everything to him and miss him so much.

I have two horses to show this year, 'I'm Blue Chip Too', whom I have had  for ten years, he is now thirteen and has qualified for R.I.H.S. '08, winning at Leicester County. He looks amazing on his diet of a handfull of Spillers Horse and Pony Cubes, Hi-Fi light, Speedi-Beet and Lami-Light, as he is such a good doer. The other horse i'm showing this year, 'Blue Chip That's Grand', also qualified for R.I.H.S first time out. He is six, and I have high hopes for him.

As well as  the show horses I produce for Blue Chip two thoroughbred colts for the sales. I am known as a Pinhooker, because I buy them as foals and sell them as yearlings.

This years yearlings are by Framm and the American stallion, 'More Than Ready'. They have been accepted for both Tattersalls and Doncaster sales and I have soon to decide which sale to send them to. Please keep sending your news and photos, I love to see how well your horses and ponies are doing with the help of Blue Chip.

If you have any ideas for new products, even if they seem a bit far fetched, please let me know. We like to make the impossible, possible, and bring to you products that really will make a difference to you horses health and wellbeing.
