Our History
Blue Chip was founded in February 1996 by Clare Blaskey. Since then, the company has grown and grown. Clare runs the company and is the face of Blue Chip, having clients who are some of the leading names in the horse world, including Di Lampard, Kyra Kyrklund, Christopher Bartle and Henrietta Knight. The products already sells all over Europe, UAE, USA Hong Kong, India and Pakistan.
Since its launch, the company has clocked up an impressive string of awards including Midland Bank Small Business of the Year, Women into Business, Best PR Campaign, Chamber of Commerce Export Award, numerous Your Horse Reader Awards for Favourite Feed/Supplement and more recently, the Parcelforce Worldwide Small Business of the Year and Sheffield Businesswoman of the year.
The company, which has its headquarters in Sheffield and employs three full time staff and has two part timers, has grown from Clare’s passion for horses, so much so that Jem Clay has been appointed as Managing Director. Blue Chip has produced a range of feeds that offer a large number of benefits with visible results. The company receives 30 – 40 letters a week from customers who are amazed they have found a product that does just what it says in the advertisements.
