‘Matt was away competing at the Welsh National Driving Trials at Erddig. He came first in the Intermediate Horse class, with a top score in the dressage, marathon and cone phases. He was also the King of the Cones at the National Driving Trials with a score of 22.29 and had the highest score of the competition – 117.36!’

If you were stressed out, you’d want something tasty too. Blue Chip has formulated a new range of delicious, naturally flavoured, concentrated, instant calmers based on the tastes your horse loves the most: carrot and apple. MORE INFO…

Abi and her horse Poppy

I have recently been using the Blue Chip Karma and I have found it to work great on my mare. She has been on and off all sorts of calmers for nearly 8 years. MORE INFO…

After Corby’s 1st & 2nd at Nurstead and Rackham unfortunately we were eliminated in the showjumping at Eridge – I missed out a jump!

Tango (our home produced stallion) sire of Lady’s foal Tandy, had his first BE event at Eridge.  He had a great dressage (26.5) the best in his section, but in the showjumping he had 3 down, he was jumping a bit flat unfortunately and seems to respect the bigger fences better!

Our sponsored rider, Susie Clark, has let us know of her most recent results…

Tilston Tic Toc was 11th in the Novice at Upton House, and Eighteen Carrots was 5th at Ascott Under Wychwood.

Well done Susie!

Tippin has recorded double clear rounds at his most recent BE100 events – Great Tew and Ascott Under Wychwood. He is proving to be a fantastic show jumper and has a clean record in that phase so far! He is now much more confident in the XC phase although we are still collecting time penalties as he still needs time to work out combination fences and stay accurate. Tippin currently has 5 BE foundation points, and we hope to collect more (and hopefully a placing!) at our next event (Cholmondley Castle BE100). He’s certainly feeling very fit and well on the blue chip as he wasn’t even sweating after his last XC run despite his recent break whilst I was on holiday! I’m hoping to upgrade him to Novice in September which will be a great achievement for his first season eventing.

Lisa Pilbeam shares her horse cross-country practice tips.

For every stallion owner, increasing and maintaining the fertility rate of the stallion is a constant challenge. Covering a full book of mares can be stressful and a set of best practices are essential to making sure your stallion is performing to the best of his ability.

Here are some top stallion feeding tips that can help to keep your stallion fit. MORE INFO…

Fritz (Donnergrollen) was 2nd in the Shearwater 6 year old Young
Dressage Horse final at Hartpury this weekend, which was HUGELY exciting
as he beat a long list of ‘big’ names on lovely horses.
