Blue Chip Feed was founded in February 1996 by Clare Blaskey and was named after her horse, Blue Chip.

Having had horses all her life and while working for another feed company, Clare’s customers, many of whom had become friends, suggested that she start her own company. Clare knew there had to be a better way of feeding horses and ponies and contacted The Kentucky Equine Research Station in the USA and told them of her ideas. With the help and encouragement of leading scientists, vets and horse owners, Blue Chip Original was formulated and the rest, as they say, is history.

The 2009 Blue Chip Veteran Horse National Dressage Championship attracted a record number of entries to Solihill Riding Centre, with competitors from all over the UK to compete in what for many would be the highlight of the year.
